Dear Amazing A Hit of Sarah readers,
As the title of this post alludes, I am taking a month long hiatus from A Hit of Sarah. Although I won't be posting on here, I will still be writing very consistantly. I am happy to announce that I'm participating in a very exciting project. Last week I began to embark on a month long journey that began in Salt Lake City, Utah and terminates in Dallas, Texas. The trip is hosted by Gerson Zevi, an internationally recognized art collective, that in addition to selling great artwork online throws various events and pop up exhibitions throughout the world. They organized this entire project and chose 24 creatives of all different mediums to participate in it. Of the 24 participates only 3 are writers. I am one of them and will be going on behalf of The HY.GEN.IC, an online arts publication that I write for and manage. Each participant is responsible for a creative work inspired by or done on the duration of the trip. I have been sponsored by legendary notebook brand, Moleskine, and well-known polaroid film preservers, The Impossible Project. For my piece I will be writing a journal that will serve as the narrative of the trip. It will not only detail the places we see, but also the people I meet and interact with and the experiences I have along the way. Polaroid photographs will be slipped in between the pages.
In addition to it's physical embodiment I will also keep a regularly updated blog that you can find here on HY.GEN.IC's website. My first post was already published and there you will be able to find out more about the project and it's purpose. I have been working for a long time to garner an opportunity like this. It would mean the world to me if you took the time to read a piece, share it, or give me any sort of feedback along the way.
Thank you so much for your continued support. I am incredibly lucky to have so many great, inspiring, and supportive people in my life.
