As winter quickly creeps closer it's nice to dream about the lovely spring clothing we will be able to wear once we've roughed it. J.Crew's spring collection is one I've frequently had on the mind. It's interesting because I never really thought much of the brand until very recently. Our newly re-elected first lady, Michelle Obama, is a huge supporter of J. Crew. She's often seen donning the mass retailer to many events and outings. Her reinforcement of the label put it in a brighter spotlight than it was already in. Since, J.Crew has grown into an international brand and has delved into higher end designs. The clothing's vision has also graduated. The latest collection really impressed me. The 'prep' look they became famous for is still there- clean cuts, button ups and trousers; however, this collection utilizes a hyper bright platte of colors including a sheen pastel pink, emerald green, brilliant cerulean blue and more. Playful flora prints are also perfectly disbursed throughout. The collection has this urban chicster vibe too it, something not always conveyed in a J.Crew story. I can't wait for it to hit stores. I will definitely be there.
