There is no argument that bodysuits have been one of the most featured spring staples of recent fashion editorials...but why? Do people wear body suits out in the real world? If they have, I don't think I've ever seen them, but who knows. As the weather seems to get warmer maybe we'll start seeing some fashionistas walking the city streets in bodysuits.
The two designers that have made the bodysuit a trend this season are Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana and Prada. These bodysuits have been featured on magazine covers and editorials internationally. Although they do share many similarities, their designs are still very different. The Dolce & Gabbana bodysuits are jeweled and look more like extravagantly decorated lingerie pieces while the Prada bodysuit has a 50's retro swimsuit vibe to it. So which one do you like better?

I love the dolce & gabbana one!
ReplyDeleteThe Prada ones are more practical in the daytime, but you could spice up the night with the D&G jewel ones! :D

I love bodysuits and usually have problems finding them. The thing is, bodysuits are great to wear with a skirt or trousers on top! Hopefully more people will realize this and less expensive brands will have bodysuits in their collections!

I would love to see people walking around in bodysuits. I actually wondered the same. I'd def wear one when going to the beach, but I would dare to walk around with one.

Dolce 100%. And I still can't get over that you work for Dolce! x
ReplyDeleteI love this post - great comparing the two.. Though I really like them both.
ReplyDeleteThe Prada suit is a lot more slimming, it's more swimsuit like. D&G is for models only, it's definitely a head turner. xx
Beautiful post!
